Celebrate our southwest heritage at the Prescott Farmers Market's annual Salsa Contest this Saturday, August 29th! This is a fun and exciting event, as we judge who makes THE BEST salsa in town! This contest is open to anyone! While we of course encourage the use of ingredients that are grown in your garden or bought from your favorite farmers market vendor, this is not mandatory. Please bring at least one quart of salsa for the contest to ensure that there will be enough to last. Chef Todd will host this fun event that will begin in 8:00 am. Please bring any salsa entries to the information booth before 8:00. Judging is also open to all market attendees! Votes will be counted and a winner will be determined at 11:15. The winner will receive 50 market bucks to spend at the market! Local musicians Just 4 Mama will lay down the day's soundtrack, and local favorite Jud Schiffman will join us as our guest artist. Come out for a fun-filled day! See you at the market! |
