I planted 1440 pecan trees in the spring of 1978 and formed the Verde Valley Pecan Growers Association. For the next fifteen years, I worked as a hydrogeologist, stopping in from time to time to make sure the grees were surviving.

We are now working ot make Summer Place a unique educational experience, both from the perspective of a small but sustainable farm, but also as a learning experience. I will be incorporating my experiences in different aspects of energy development into making Summer Place "energy independent" as well as to demonstrate the basic principles of energy production and storage.
